What is the Inktober Illustration Challenge?

Inktober is an annual art challenge created by Jake Parker in 2009 to improve inking skills and encourage daily drawing habits. Every October, artists worldwide participate by creating an ink-based drawing each day based on a set of prompts. These prompts, like "ghost" or "tranquil," spark creativity and inspire artists to experiment with new ideas and techniques.

While traditionally ink-based, many artists use different mediums to complete the challenge. The goal is practice, growth, and having fun rather than perfection.

Participating in Inktober helps develop skills, push creative boundaries, and connect with other artists. Plus, by the end of the month, you'll have 31 new pieces to showcase! 

As an extra challenge I tried to complete each days prompt within 30 minutes, illustrations posted to Elizabeth Cornwell Designs Instagram stories each day of the challenge.
