- SHE JUST WANTS TO FORGET BY R.H.SIN; Reading this poetry book slowly over the month. And knowing I could be opening this book to random pages and would find a beautiful poem. I rate it 4/5
- I KNOW WHY THE CAGED BIRD SINGS BY MAYA ANGELOU; This Biography of Maya Angelou an American poet, memoirist, actress and civil rights figure, named as one of the 30 most powerful women in America. This book is covers her childhood until the birth of her son. I rate it 4/5
- THE TESTAMENTS BY MARGARET ATWWOOD; A green cape on the cover is enough green! I really wanted to read this book. This is the sequel to The Handmaid’s Tail, which picks up the story about 15 years after Offred/ June. It is the ribbon tying up The Handmaiden’s Tail. I rate it 5/5
- NO PLACE FOR A LADY BY MAGGIE BRENDAN; As a book set in America, the main character leaves her life in Georgia, for a cattle ranch. The American west with a southern belle. I rate it 2.5/5
- XX BY ANGELA CHADWICK; A book with an ‘x’ in the title and this has two… This book took me by surprise, I couldn’t decide if I should finish reading it. I’m happy I did as overall I enjoyed it. I rate it 3/5
- SENSE AND SENSIBILITY BY JANE AUSTEN; I first read this book in secondary school as part of English class, I can honestly say with age this book has gone up in my estimation. A good “free choice”. I rate it 4/5
- THE LAST REMAINS BY ELLY GRIFFITHS; This is the 15th and final instalment of the Ruth Galloway series. I rate it 5/5
- A PERFECT FIT BY HEATHER TULLIS; Flower(s) on the cover and that it was a free ebook was all I needed. However, when I first opened this ebook, I thought it was a play due to the ‘cast of character’ list. However it was written in the style of a made of tv film (not an insult just a comparison). I rate it 2/5
- LOVE IN COLOUR BY BOLU BABALOLA; A book with love in the title and Love stories in it’s pages. After reading this book and Bolu’s goodreads bio that states herself a ‘romcomoisseur’ and that her master’s degree in Beyoncé it encompasses her writing style. Babalola’s collection of short love stories illuminating different forms of love. I rate it 4/5
- RESET BY SARINA DAHLAN; A one word book title a two thought personal conclusion… Imagine by John Lennon and I really enjoyed reading this book in one night. I rate it 5/5
- DANCING IN THE DARK BY MAUREEN LEE; I like how the book switches from one character to the other, this could be why my mam gave me this book. I don’t know what else to add other than, I rate it 2/5
- WILDER GIRLS BY RORY POWER; Y/A (young adult) fiction can be hit or miss. This book was a joy to read and put me in mind of something I would binge watch if made into a mini series.The Amazon’s series ‘The wilds’ meets the Netflix’s TV series ‘Between’. The only thing “the island takes everything” including the ending. I rate it 4/5
